Design of the homes

The design objectives for the homes at Roundhill Green are:

 

                 - to create a spacious feeling internally and externally

                 - to capitalise on the site's rural and south facing location

                 - to incorporate "passive" design; capture the sun's heat

                 - to be a safe and quiet site and encourage homeworking

                 - to use materials which are environmentally friendly  

                   wherever possible

                 - to consume little energy for heating

                 - to minimise water use

                 - to make healthy living easy for those who want this

                 - to have clear and distinctive contemporary style

 

 

All this is wrapped up into a design which will satisfy Level 5 of the government's Code for Sustainable homes
