Close-up
location map This final plan shows the
residential area edged in red. The blue edged area is also owned by GGH and
is referred to as the New Woodland Area. The numbers correspond to the photographs taken.
This is a view south from
Cliffe Lane across the housing site. The rubble that can be seen is the
remains of the mill that once stood on site. Most of this will be crushed to
make recycled aggregate and the area landscaped. Photograph 2
Fusden Wood can be seen to
the right in this view across the lower part of the site. Photograph 3
The town hall in Cleckheaton
features in the centre of this southward view from the edge of the housing
site. Photograph 4
This view shows the southern
end of the new woodland area, where a variety of habitats are being created. Connections
Just over the fence outside the site is a public footpath; it is 800 metres into Cleckheaton. GGH would like to create a cycleway and run this all the way to town. Adjoining owners are being contacted to see if they will assist. |
